简介:Zeitecs 公司最近发布新一代电潜泵,和以前的电潜泵一样,该款泵也是通过钢丝绳作业取放过油管常规电潜泵,但是不同点是其适应的油管型号范围得到扩展。
Artificial-lift technology provider Zeitecs recently unveiled a new addition to its line of rigless conveyance systems for electrical submersible pumps (ESPs). Like the previous generation, the company's Shuttle 550 system uses wireline technology to retrieve and redeploy conventional ESPs through tubing, but extends the application to other tubing sizes.
For an increasing number of high-production oil wells with a low gas-to-oil ratio, artificial-lift systems are a necessity and ESPs will play an increasingly vital role. However, despite the best efforts by ESP manufacturers, many operators face the continuing challenge of ESP failures. These unpredictable events cause substantial production deferment, loss of revenue, and increased operating expenses.
The Zeitecs Shuttle system allows an operator to retrieve and redeploy all types of submersible lift systems rapidly and reliably. The system employs wireline technology to convey submersible lift systems through tubing, thus eliminating the need for a hoist or rig. As a result, operators can potentially save millions of dollars in rig costs while eliminating production deferment and avoiding the safety risks associated with conventional ESP workover operations.
Zeitecs says that its Shuttle system provides further benefits to production and field operations by permitting operators to incorporate preventative maintenance activities for the ESP into the schedule for well-services activities or field shutdowns. This allows for greater production continuity and a reduction in ESP-related operating expenditures through the life of the field.
The new Shuttle 550 series allows operators to deploy and retrieve up to a 456-series ESP through 5 ½-in. tubing within 7-in. casing. It joins the Shuttle 700 series, which allows operators to deploy up to 562-series ESPs through 7-in. tubing within 9 5/8-in. casing. Both series employ Zeitecs' proprietary wet-mateable connector system, which permits the operator to fully service the ESP system's pump, seal, and motor through the tubing.
In addition, the Shuttle's unique docking system is a "plug and play" technology that connects the pump to a fixed downhole power supply, allowing the operator to install any manufacturer's ESP to match prevailing well production conditions.
The technology was originally launched in August 2009, and 700 series Shuttles have been installed in Oman, the US, and Brunei. Additional onshore and offshore deployments are planned in 2010 with major E&P companies, Zeitecs states.
"The Shuttle has impressed customers with its robustness, its degree of debris tolerance, and the ease and speed of its deployment," said Tony King, vice president and chief marketing officer for Zeitecs. "We have been able to safely retrieve, reinstall, and restart ESP systems within a few hours with minimum wireline-services support. With this unique, proprietary downhole power installation, Zeitecs is helping operators to enhance field planning, optimize well management, and achieve major workover savings."
